You can’t attend a concert, go to a dance class or go to see your doctor. You can’t ring a doorbell, use a leaf blower, hop in a car, pull down a driveway, bounce a ball, or ask the neighbor to keep it down.
You can’t check out a farmer’s market or mail something at the post office or go to a parade, and you certainly can’t send your kids to school without worrying that someone will get shot.
That someone you LOVE will get shot.
Or that YOU will get shot.
This is where we are now.
This is not normal.
And this is not fucking ok.

Three members of the Tennessee Democratic Party are facing expulsion from the legislature tonight as the GOP leadership is trying to have these 3 members excluded from the body. Thus stripping away duly elected members from serving . Their crime was asking the Speaker why they were not allowed to speak on the House floor During debate about guns. You probably remember this picture of the baby who spent 128 hours under rubble after an earthquake in Turkey. It was reported that the baby's mom died.

Turns out, the mom is alive! She was treated in a different hospital. After 54 days apart and a DNA test, they are together again.

The shooter in Nashville left behind a manifesto. She had a different school in mind but settled on one she was familiar with. She was well armed with two assault rifles and a handgun. This was a premeditated act of violence against America’s children and teachers. I’m a former combat vet. These weapons do not belong in the hands of civilians. For any reason. This is not a 2nd Amendment issue. It’s a human rights issue.
