@inletsdev@kymaproject My case is different. I already have a k8s with the external IP and DNS entry for loadbalancer pointing to istio-ingress-gateway. I deploy exit nodes in this cluster (each exit node has a virtual service). This scenario probably is not your main target.

@inletsdev@kymaproject Couldn’t find a way to combine inlets-operator with istio ingress gateway. So in my example I use Kyma API Rule that creates Istio virtual service. With wildcard SSL certificate it works really nice.
