It's officially #UCDavisGiveDay, which means we've got 29 hours (and counting!) to meet our goals for an array of college-wide challenges that support students, research, diversity and more. Give to a CBS challenge that is meaningful to you: https://t.co/gsWuEvq0Ek
“..some 140,000 children in the U.S. have lost a caregiver—about one in every 500 children. That is a big and consequential loss, and those children are probably not among the many who are ready to “move on”…”
Very sad - a big issue for everyone and rarely mentioned 😕
Oktoberfest has started in Munich 🍻- went digging in my archives for our photos from our 2011 visit. My poor son… I went “full tourist” mom 😂 and he wasn’t too keen on his outfit…
One year since we brought this silly pup home - daily routine: 3/4 through his morning walk he likes to lay down and take a rest on this neighbor’s lawn (same place)… watches the greenbelt path and chills out for a few minutes, then ready to go again 😆
Today’s my grandparents wedding anniversary. I remember grandma telling me that a wedding present she received back in 1946 was a box of oils and stuff needed for preparing the dead for burial. I like the concept of Irish wakes ☘️ - a celebration of life. Interesting thread:
Leaving the restaurant at 8pm per guidelines under Tokyo state of emergency, and yet … still a full house. Some people got seated minutes ago. Most people here are watching the Japan-NZ men’s Olympic soccer quarterfinals.

Trying a new local coffee shop for lunch today - Morgan’s Mill in Woodland. Loving the shady front porch area and industrial decor. Food and latte also great 😊 ☕️👍 https://t.co/tEFa5k1HF5
@phylogenomics I expect that as we approach herd immunity, the COVID virus will explore every opportunity and vulnerability to replicate and survive. Whether it's children, or their pets, SARS-CoV-2 will not go gently in to that good night.
Delighted to see the Nest cam up and running again. I can see the weather is gloomy but hope the new site will yield the same resolution as before. Using screenshot, I got some beautiful images of the plaza at night, day, in sun and in snow. Happy to share them with you.
