We are saddened by the passing of President Jimmy Carter, who contributed to the Voyager Golden Record currently traveling through interstellar space.
Carter's message of peace continues to reach across the "vast and awesome universe."
Jimmy Carter, former US president who was committed to human rights, has died. He was 100 years old.
Carter set a powerful example for world leaders to make human rights a priority, and he continued to fight for human rights after he left office.
When I look at Jimmy Carter, I see a man not only for our times, but for all times. A man who embodied the most fundamental human values we can never let slip away.
And while we may never see his likes again, we would all do well to try to be a little more like Jimmy Carter.
We are so proud of our Executive Director, Eliseo Elizondo, who was awarded the Don
Quixoti Outstanding Hispanic Educator Award by the Hispanic Heritage of Odessa!
We are thankful for Eliseo’s commitment to students in the Permian Basin and his determination to be #AllinForKids
