@BeckettUnite Nurses also have to pay an annual registration fee, and most have to pay parking fees at their own place of work. I don’t see many MP’s paying for so much as a paper clip without claiming for it on exe’s.
• NHS Hospital Canteen: ‘Single Tuna sarnie’ costing £3.00 for nurses, paid for out of their own wage
• Houses of Parliament: ‘Rum banana tarte tatin with rum and raisin ice cream’ for the princely sum of £2.37 for MPs, paid for by you the taxpayer
Nurses’ fight is our fight.
By 2028, Millennials & Gen Z will dominate U.S. elections. This is why the GOP is pulling out all the stops to entrench their power. They know they don't stand a chance against a multi-racial, progressive generation of young people that will make their backwards ideas irrelevant.
@AnniPeggi59 @Debs2500 But the main point is; what have we gained from Brexit?
Undeniably, people voted for it. But are we better off by any measure?
I submit that our benefit is ZERO . We were sold a lemon. We have certainly lost much more than we gained, and yet we are still paying
On LBC this morning I set out the case for our striking members
I was met with Nick Ferrari attempting to use the tragic death of a student against university staff
This is disgusting, morally reprehensible, and completely irresponsible
Shame on you
@MarinaPurkiss@NickFerrariLBC Tory neglect of the NHS leads to patient suffering & deaths. Tories blame nurses.
Tories underfund the NHS & cause a staffing crisis which increases waiting lists. Tories blame nurses again
Nurses strike for better pay & to highlight Tory destruction of the NHS. Guess what...
@TheCentreLefty So you can’t call a proven liar a liar, but apparently you can call the leader of the opposition a wan*er…@LindsayHoyle_MP we all know you softer as hot butter on the Tories but come on surely some action has to be taken against Raab for this
Repulsive, sinister and terrifying. This government must be removed from power as soon as possible and never allowed anywhere near it again. https://t.co/a05wf0CwKY
Rishi Sunak appointed this man to his Cabinet despite his appalling track record and having been told of serious allegations against him.
Even now this weak Prime Minister continues to defend the indefensible rather than take decisive action.

@AngelaRayner He could make a start by stopping the water companies dumping filth in the rivers and making them invest in bigger facilities to deal with it - the technology is there .Profits and greed against the environment .
Pure hypocrisy !
@MarinaPurkiss My friend had Spina Bifida. She had her stoma site changed at a private hospital paid for by her mum. The surgeon clipped blood vessels but didn't notice. My friend suffered bowel necrosis that she couldn't feel due to being paraplegic. She died of sepsis in an NHS ICU. 😢
@MarinaPurkiss Retired Radiographer here. In my time of working in the NHS we knew that we were always picking up the mistakes made by private healthcare. A school friend of mine died due to private medical errors. All private patients go to A&E at NHS hospitals. The NHS is their last resort.😔
Many of those in Govt will have private healthcare
…& not need the NHS
Many of those in Govt will send their children to private schools
…& not need state schools
So let’s not be surprised that they deliberately allow these public services to collapse
No skin in the game.
@adrian_rollins@LOBALI@JonesJonesy1968@nulasuchet@mrjamesob The polls show that Tory support is around 30%, despite the obvious destructive policies they are committing the Country to.
Too many still aren't connecting this damage to the Tories; accepting "global" or "Ukraine War" as reasons for failing economy
@LOBALI@JonesJonesy1968@nulasuchet@mrjamesob Don't think it is obvious to their voters. Many will still buy The Sun and The Mail and blame Labour for the government being inept!
