This is a $300 billion transfer from middle-class in red states to well-to-do folks in blue states.

Exactly. The only spending change in the bill is a giant spending cut. The entire “deficit” change per the lefty CBO was not expiring the Trump Tax Cut from 2017. Further, because it’s a (party-line) reconciliation bill, no monies are appropriated in the bill to fund government.

@StephenM are you spending less? or are you slowing the growth of spending and calling it a reduction (classic gov't). If you spent X in the current budget and spend X+Y in the next one, then that is not cutting.
