🦌: ‘overflow’ is a much more emotionally expressive song. personally, i wrote it during a difficult period in my life. i was surrounded by countless emotions, but none of them seemed to have a solution. at the time, a foreign lyricist i was working with casually threw out the word “overflow.” it means “to spill over” or “overflow,” and the moment I heard it, i thought, “that’s it”.
🦌: the verses start as if there’s no hope at all, but by the time the hook arrives, the phrase “here we go again” keeps repeating as it looks toward hope. in the end, it’s a story about overcoming hardship

Q. On June 22, your debut single <Ride or Die> comes out. It features two tracks, but starting with the title track 'Ride or Die'—I was a bit surprised, honestly. The genre is rock. Since I'd gotten used to Evan's R&B covers up to now, I never imagined you'd come out with rock.
🦌: It's a song that came out of the first session. Truth be told, up until then, I wasn't all that well-versed in rock. Then I watched Avril Lavigne and Radiohead performances on YouTube, and it hit me completely. In a way, it's a song born from ambition. Before even weighing if it was a genre I was good at, I was just like, "It's so good—let's do it." These days, there's a lot of flashy, perfectly mixed music, right? I've mostly listened to that kind of stuff too. But band music feels, I don't know, organic and primal. There was this moment when it really hooked me.
