Today, towards the end of my shift, I video called the relatives of a patient who is not going to make it. We usually do that in my hospital if it’s something they want. This patient’s son asked for a few minutes of my time. He then sang a song for his dying mother.

When I was a first year high school teacher one thing a mentor teacher taught me was, in those first weeks, try to take each kid aside & have a personal conversation with them. Make it clear you’re invested in them personally. It was the best piece of teaching advice I ever got.

Results of Karntaka Teacher Eligibility Test annouced. 12% of 2.62 lakhs qualifies. We published the result within five weeks of conducting exams and 94 days of calling for the application.
