Please note that this law DOES NOT change the earnings limits a public retiree may earn This change in the law applies to both superannuation & disability retirees working in the public sector & it is effective retroactively back to July 1, 2021.
In September, An Act Relative to Post-Retirement Employment of Public Retirees became law.
This law updates the amount of hours that a retiree may work in the public sector from 960 hours to 1,200 hours per calendar year.

We send Congratulations to Captain Fred Freeman of the Hanover Fire Department for being awarded the JFK Profile in Courage - COVID Courage Award. This Award honors those on the front lines. Freeman implemented Hanover’s innovative Mobile Integrated Health Program.
On April 27, 2021 the Plymouth County Retirement Association Board unanimously voted to approve a 3% Cost of Living Adjustment up to the allowable $16,000.00 base for eligible retirees. If you were retired on/before June 30, 2020 you will see an increase starting July 31, 2021.
