@DanWetzel No it really wasn’t if you know anything about the program. Al was a solid coach but time was passing him hy and with the loss of Ed Cooley and Bill Coen the recruiting was going way downhill. The fact that BC bungled future hires doesn’t mean Al should have had a job for life.
There’s an argument to fire Chad Tracy right now for putting Weissert in this game. Is he out of his mind or are we sneaky tanking? I hate watching this team.
@BackupHangman You cannot seriously be suggesting Brunson is an all time better player than James Harden, Russell Westbrook or Chris Paul. That is beyond ridiculous. He’s never even made first team all NBA or finished anywhere better than 5th in MVP voting. Come on Ibou, that’s just crazy.
@rBillSimmonsPod@mzylka77 Totally disagree with you guys. Having someone who is more critical of the movie is actually good for the pod. I don’t think this pod totally landed but it’s not because Joel was luke warm on the movie. Craig was the worst part of the pod in my opinion.
@NIKNBAYT Ending wasn’t on him at all. Think he was in a tough spot this series in general but I’d say the starting lineup last night and playing Garza as much as he did was a mistake.
This Celtics core of Brown and Tatum already has such a bizarre legacy. A championship that people discount because of the field, and a handful of terrible playoff exits.
Given how much talent they’ve had over the years, feels like the group has underperformed overall.
@lukestanley03 He’s a serial whiner and crybaby so the only things he remembers are perceived injustices against him while any luck or breaks he get are chalked up as deserved.
@MichaelVPina I’m not really getting your logic here. Jaylen carried a team expected to stink to be the two seed in the east. Kawhi led a team expected to have 50 wins to 42. On what planet did Kawhi draw “significantly more” attention every night?
@CoreyB08 Agreed. I like the Celts chances but Knicks are a tough matchup and so are Detroit (I don’t see it from the Cavs). Celts are the only team who can get their best player back from a torn Achilles for 15 games and then be considered disappointing if they don’t make the finals lol.
@jaycaspiankang@theStevenRuiz Thankfully the vast majority of bars around me are adapting and have streaming TVs but it’s such a pain in the ass for people to have to sift through different apps to try to find the games and remember the log in if needed, etc.
@AmericanNumbers@TA1297@lissmx14 My advice would be if I had a model that told me tha Mosley was a better coach than Mazzulla, I would strongly reconsider the data I am feeding into that model as it is producing stupid results.
@AmericanNumbers@TA1297@lissmx14 Would love to hear what in the world Mosley has done to show himself as anything other than a far below average coach. Just a horrendous take from you.
@jackfrank_jjf@CJenkins_Wx Makes sense, it’s weird it doesn’t apply to this or ROY. I think Harper or Ajay are fine picks, as is Jaquez. No one jumped off the page to me this year in that spot.
@Rick_Jawnz@SopanDeb I’m not sure I really agree. It’s definitely way behind football but in comparison to baseball or the NHL or whatever else you want to use, I think the NBA generates a lot of conversation. Probably depends where you are in the country I guess but I think the league is doing well.
