Today, we have information about another massive Russian strike – we have relevant intelligence data. And immediately after this conversation, I am returning to Ukraine.
Today, I ask our people in Ukraine to be especially careful – stay safe and protect your families and children – be sure to take shelter and pay attention to air-raid alerts in Ukraine. We know that Putin has been preparing a massive strike against Ukraine for some time. That is exactly the threat we are facing tonight.
Russia’s head is completely refusing to end the war. And although through all possible official and unofficial channels – including through people close to him – we have conveyed that the war can and must be ended, and that we in Ukraine are ready for meetings and meaningful negotiations, he sees only further aggression against Ukraine and against other neighbors and Europe as a whole.
I said this during a joint press conference with the Taoiseach of Ireland, Micheál Martin.

Our Beloved Colombian Brother Yeison Alexander Vargas Cubillos, who had been serving in Ukraine as a Volunteer succumbed on the Battlefield.
Honor, Glory and Gratitude To Our Brother.
HOST: Do you think Trump is pro-Russian?
APPLEBAUM: I think he's pro-Putin. He admires leaders who have no checks and balances, who aren't part of democratic system, who are in control of the media.
He also had very long business relationship with Russians. They were among the most important investors in his apartments in the 1990s and 2000s.
He also has kind of idealized image of Russia. Funnily enough, I don't think it has anything to do with conservative values.
I think it's just because he likes this strongman ideal. And because he's grateful to Russians for having built his business, and maybe because he expects to do business with Russia in the future.
Over the past few days, a lot of important things have happened. In recent days, my attention has been focused on Lukashenko and the activity within the Russian-Belarusian-Chinese triangle.
For the first time after the meeting between Putin and Lukashenko at Valdai, there was neither a joint press conference, nor substantive statements, nor even the traditional demonstrative photo-op. The meeting lasted two days.
Immediately afterwards, Lukashenko urgently traveled to Beijing, and this visit was organized with unprecedented speed for China, where he was personally received by Xi Jinping.
The visit had not been planned or announced in advance. Therefore, it was urgent and important for both sides.
The Chinese leader emphasized support for Belarus’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. Formally, this is a standard diplomatic formula. But in the current circumstances, it can be read as a signal: Beijing is declaring a protectorate over Belarus and indicating that it has its own interests there. And we know what those interests are - Belarus is a major producer of potash fertilizers, an important logistical hub between Russia and Europe, and part of the overland routes of Chinese trade.
The role of Minsk may be more complex than it appears.
As of now, it looks as though Lukashenko has rejected Putin’s demands to involve Belarus even more deeply in the war with Ukraine and has turned to Beijing for protection.
Time will tell whether these assumptions are correct.
If so, a serious shift in the geopolitical configuration of the region has occurred.
If China takes a more active position regarding Belarus (and Ukraine), I would not rule out that the countries of Central Asia will also listen less to Russia and increasingly turn toward China as the center of their interests.
Meanwhile, after the talks with Lukashenko, Putin made one of the most important statements of recent months. He did not simply reject the Ukrainian proposal for a mutual cessation of long-range strikes. He escalated - declaring the "complete liberation of Donbas and Novorossiya" as his goal. Putin is demonstrating readiness for further escalation and insists that future negotiations must concern not only Ukraine, but the entire system of European security.
Thus, we see that the war is increasingly transcending the framework of a bilateral conflict between Russia and Ukraine. It is becoming a Chinese-Russian tool for reshaping the entire European security system, and its further trajectory depends more and more on Beijing’s strategic calculations.

Our intelligence has obtained important findings regarding the situation in Crimea and in our other territories currently under Russian occupation. Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service has obtained data indicating that the crisis with fuel, military logistics, and governance in Crimea is deepening on a virtually daily basis. The Russian occupation administration quite clearly and unequivocally acknowledges its inability to resolve the problems created by our mid-range sanctions against the occupier, as well as by the implementation of our long-range sanctions plan, primarily against Russian oil refining. A similar situation is unfolding in other Russian regions as well.
We have also obtained internal Russian documents assessing the public mood among citizens of the aggressor state. At present, the level of anxiety among Russians is already higher than it was during our Kursk operation: more than 50 percent. Already, 66 percent of Russians consider their financial situation difficult. More than 80 percent of Russians believe a large-scale economic crisis in Russia is inevitable. These are absolutely clear indicators that reflect the failure of Putin’s war policy.
Separately, Oleh Luhovskyi reported on measures being carried out in Belarus, under obvious Russian influence, to prepare for a potential expansion of aggression against Ukraine. Along our state border in Belarus, the construction of road infrastructure and storage bases for ammunition and fuel and lubricants is nearing completion. These facilities have no purpose other than a military one. These are the border directions of Kobryn–Kovel, Ivanava–Manevychi, Luninets–Sarny, Rečyca–Korosten, and Homieĺ–Chernihiv. We know that Russian documents describe this specifically in the context of the tasks of the so-called “SVO.”
Belarus has received the necessary signals from Ukraine regarding this activity, as well as regarding all other formats of its collaboration with Russia in the interests of prolonging and scaling up the war. Belarus knows what steps it must take for peace. The development of border infrastructure for aggression from Belarus must be stopped. It is the Belarusian side that must take steps toward de-escalation and peace. Thank you to everyone who helps us protect lives and our independence! Glory to Ukraine!

Three years ago today, Russia killed these brave Ukrainian guys in Russian-occupied Ukrainian Berdiansk: Tigran Oganesyan and Mykyta Khanhanov.
This was an extrajudicial execution of Ukrainian children in the occupied territory.
Russia refused to return Tigran and Nikita's bodies to their parents or to Ukraine.
RIP. You are remembered.
