@MikeyMuls I also think it wasn't all "Sixers Fans" that sold tickets. Might've just been people in the area who aren't fans that literally only bought to sell. Never cared about the game in the first place. Of course, your point of the apathy of actual Sixers fans allowed that to happen.
@SMurp3131@Philsbirdsthrow I remember that game too. Was sleeping over my friend's down the shore, and I was excited because he had Prism (probably not Harry on there) and I could watch the game. I'm a nerd.
@SMurp3131@Philsbirdsthrow Sean! A fond memory of this one. One of those nights where around 6 o'clock my dad said "let's go down to the game" and we went down last minute. Got a great ending courtesy of Bo.
Mike Maloneโs most interesting achievement as a college coach was when he was an assistant at Manhattan and got Delonte West to verbally commit (before West changed his mind and went to St. Joeโs).
Malone went on to coach West when they were both with the Cavs.
@SethDavisHoops Not exact at all. SJU was ranked #1 at the time, and I think was #1 in RPI, which was the metric most used then. And they lost to a team that ended up in the Elite 8.
Daughter's flight from LA was supposed to leave 3 hrs ago. Been pushed back a few times for mechanical issues. Latest update landing in Philly around 5 a.m. That's right after the weather is supposed to get bad. Can't wait for @AmericanAir to blame weather instead of mechanical
@MikeyMuls True, but trying to make it as simple as possible. Maybe just go 14. Or give the play-in teams 3, and the teams that don't make it 2. Some incentive to try to make the playoffs. Would teams lose games to drop from 6 to 7? I like yours, but would be tough with trades.
@MikeyMuls 10, 12, 14 is fine by me. But cut down the difference in chances for the terrible teams and those that try. Odds are too much in their favor right now. If losing games is somehow an overwhelming positive, that's not good.
@MikeyMuls Would you be in favor of every team being in the lottery? Maybe those who don't make the playoffs get three ping pong balls, the teams that lose play-ins get two, and those in playoffs get one? Or even all the play-ins get two, even if you win?
