I have two new books that have just been released. The first is a Christmas children’s book called “A Camel Fit for A King.” It is fun and fully illustrated. The second is “Wisdom Words, Volume 2.” It has another 100 Proverbs and poetic paraphrases. Order both on Amazon.
Remember: The Secret Place with God is the starting place that leads to every other place. It leads to The Gathering Place where fellow believers are built up by God’s grace and to The Public Place where unbelievers are brought in by God’s grace.
Souls saved and disciples made are two sides of the same “Great Commission Coin.” Live every day for the Master’s Mission of souls saved and disciples made and you will produce a legacy that will last for eternity and be worth leaving for future generations.
Make what you do in the moment matter forever by doing everything led by the Holy Spirit for the glory of God, the good of others, and the Gospel’s advancement.
Wisdom Word:
“When you see things as a victim, your mind is never free. Your every thought is negative, your life a misery. But if you have eternal joy despite your circumstance, your heart will always eat its fill, and your soul will always dance.” (Proverbs 15:15)
Wisdom Word:
“Honor God for who He is, and honor Him for all He’s done, and you will find His grace will flow and fill the heart of everyone. And when His word, will, and ways guide your every step, they will lead you straight to life and lead you far from death. (Proverbs 14:27)
Wisdom Word:
“Leaders love the truthful ones, the ones that they can trust. For when it comes to those they lead, honesty’s a must. So if you want your leaders to love and count on you, make sure your word is solid and what you say is true.” (Proverbs 16:13)
Wisdom Word:
“When you speak that which is good, now that’s a real treat; every word is healthy, and every word is sweet. So, before you go to talking, consider what you’ll say; speak strength into another’s life, and help them win the day.” (Proverbs 16:24)
Remember: When spiritual discernment grows dim, revelation is inconsistent. When spiritual discernment goes dark, revelation is nonexistent. Learn to discern as a primary weapon to defeat deception.
Pastors: Don’t go woke and don’t go weird. Read and study the Bible from cover to cover. Preach and teach it faithfully and in context. Share the accurate gospel of Jesus' saving work. Do the hard and work of making disciples. Care for the poor & the prisoner. Avoid celebrity.
I was viewing Gabe Patillo’s memorial today. Gabe grew up in our church. He eventually moved on, married, and started a family. One day, he scheduled an appointment with me to tell me how much he loved and appreciated me as his pastor. Gabe was a fine man in every possible way.
While freedom may be attained in a moment, it must be maintained every day. Over time, you become stronger and stronger as your mind is renewed and your mindset is reinforced. Freedom doesn’t mean sin disappears, it means that sin is defeated and dominated daily.
The key to a fruitful legacy is faithful consistency. God wants to give us a lifetime of fullness one day at a time. When we rise each day with a commitment to win the day by grace through faith, we take another step in our journey with Jesus. Todays become tomorrows over time.
Positive change does not come to a negative heart. God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him in faith believing. It is okay to start out with a complaint, but it must become a confession of trust in God’s provision, protection, power, and peace.
Remember: Jesus was the Son of God at His birth, in His life, at His death, and both now and forever. His birth was supernatural, His life was sinless, and His death and resurrection were sure and complete. His reign is established eternally. Praise Jesus, the Son of God!
Don’t try to be the hero in other people’s story. Just do heroic things, and then if you wind up being the hero it will be nothing but humbling and surprising. Always make it about them, not you.
If Jesus called you to shepherd His people and that led you to Bible college or seminary to prepare, never forget what your calling is. If you eventually become a denominational leader, professor, or executive, you are always a shepherd. NEVER FORGET!
