@mikenelson586 Kinda like not all pilots need to wear flight suits in non flying jobs. If you are at a 4-star HQ it's not likely you are jumping into a cockpit in a scramble.
@cdrsalamander One of my analysts who did a 3 year exchange with the Brits said everyone brought their dog to work and the only banning was for ill behaved dogs. I love when they bring them to our offices at CENTCOM for morale events
@TheBuddyCSM I think many of those seniors say that because they have blown up their own families in pursuit of advancement and have no idea of how to reintegrate with their families who have learned to exist without them. They can't imagine a different world.
@EODHappyCaptain I talked to my sister in laws AP government class about 9/11, I was outside NYC and watched the towers fall our my window. It hit hard today as I thought about friends made and lost over the last 25 years in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Saying their names hit hard.
@EODHappyCaptain During one of hurricane evacuations I forgot our beagles paw print and was beside myself as we were in the cone for destruction. Thankfully we made it and he still comes with us.
@BlueCordCSM Jocko willinks podcast has done a great job of giving a platform to conventional army and national guard units in the 2096-2007 fight for Ramadi.
@EODHappyCaptain My bizarre Iraq experience was hearing an AFN announcement for the 2006 Mardi Gras party featuring some Army band in the Green Zone while we were tracking JAM neighborhood take overs. I was a FOBBIT but not sure you wanted a civilian to babysit outside the wire.
@pinstripedline I don't remember it being that hot in the summer back in the 90s. I was blown away it was near 100 degrees when my son visited in June.
@Asst_to_the_RM Reminds me of the Army Sergeant Major saying he has combat experience but has never been to war in the context of a war with China. This is probably the first time in 80 years our troops have directly experienced air threats.
