@StevenACohen2 Arr you as angry as I am watching the players sleepwalking on the field? Did Mendy even come to the ballpark today? I ask because he sat on his hands while leaving Myers out to dry with no one warming up. Why not forfeit before the game and save the fans the money and their time.

@notgaetti I agree. The real solution is a truly equitable system of revenue sharing. The obstacle is that the large market teams are resistant because of the investment of purchasing their teams and protecting their franchise values.

@notgaetti There's no question that Tucker got overpaid. That said, he benefited from having a skill set that is valued more highly than Schwarber's as a one dimensional player, and from the market for that skill set. Good for him.

@notgaetti I have a lot of respect for Curt Flood. He willingly risked his career for a deeply held principle, when even Marvin Miller predicted that he would lose. Even though it didn't benefit him, he must've taken great satisfaction when the 10&5 rule was instituted.

@Jimfrombaseball Gary Carter was one of my favorite players. Still is. I admired him from afar when he was an Expo, as a terrific, complete catcher and clutch player. When he got traded to the Mets,I knew we'd win a WS.

@JohnnyC4077 @notgaetti He's not wrong. With no empirical evidence, it's just as valid to believe that he didn't start juicing until he started taking the substances he admitted to taking. That his performance was within normal statistical deviation up until that time supports it.
