it’s official. I am building a steam machine killer. The release of Steam OS 3.8 and the prime day sale was a compelling enough combination to justify it.
@interesting_aIl we fear the consequences of AI but not as much as we fear being left behind from a competitive standpoint. Every industry in the world is preaching the gospel of AI. Even if you don’t like it, you can’t fully ignore it.
@lynk0x you’ll thank yourself later is the traditional wisdom. i’ve seen a good number of elderly folks with not enough money, health problems, and not many family members, who wish they would have saved more for their later life
@FlubahDub@BC1734583984549@Tesla_Optimus@elonmusk i’ve also done both. i’ve been in a position where i’ve had to work on globally disperse teams. I think the benefits of not geologically constraining your talent pool outweighs the benefits of being in the same room at all times. Subjective. Not a moral qualm is my point.
@FlubahDub@BC1734583984549@Tesla_Optimus@elonmusk I must say, this is one of Elons worst takes that you are regurgitating. remote work is not a moral issue. I think logistically it makes sense to be in-person when the job is in a factory or on-site but if you’re going to spend all day on the computer regardless who cares
