BREAKING: Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
1. There is a great lesson for people to learn from:
Whoever contributed in building a house over decades ,furnished it, decorated it, repainted it severally and periodically, felt very much at home, fought to keep the said house from collapse, driving pride from being part of that house etc but suddenly abandoned, deserted and run away of the house because of "RATS INFESTATIONS.
By resigning from PDP, Atiku would have given Obasanjo a happy moment to celebrate the triumph of his evil plan and mechanization against both PDP and Atiku in particular
By abandoning PDP because of " RATS INFESTATION" Atiku has shown that he is not a good fighter willing to fight to finish, willing to stop nowhere midway, willingly to deploy all means available to prove a point.
By Resigning from PDP, Atiku has sent shivers and shocks to other PDP members who were hitherto seeing him as a pillar to lean on.
By resigning to join the league of his several sworn foes, detractors and enemies, means Atiku is yet to learn the political survival instincts which prohibits one from" joining the well known Enemies club" even where one will be seen as a leader, because the same enemies will regroup and inflict deeper injury.
I would rather remain within that just fizzle away to an uncertain destination.
" HE WHO FIGHTS AND RUN AWAY. MAYBLIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY, BUT HE WHO IS IN BATTLE SLAIN, MAY NEVER RISE TO FIGHT AGAIN".....
I had the privilege of a heart-to-heart discussion with H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the state of our nation. I also expressed deep appreciation for directing accelerated design on the 4th Legacy Project of the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi and Gombe corridor to enable procurement commence.
This crucial corridor, which serves as a gateway to the North East, will stimulate economic activities and uplift living standards. I equally commended the Federal Government for the swift reconstruction of the collapsed bridge linking Shendam LGA to surrounding communities and Taraba State.
We are working towards sustained improvement in road infrastructure, citizen welfare, and national security.
Before the 2023 election, ADC split into four factions:
Faction A backed Tinubu/Shettima.
Faction B supported Atiku/Okowa.
Faction C endorsed Obi/Datti.
Faction D ran Dumebi Kachikwu.
The pro-Tinubu faction was the most dominant, securing two House of Representatives seats in Kogi State.
Yet, this is the party the coalitors are abandoning PDP for. When we say they don’t understand politics, they take offense.
16 August 1951 - 5 May 2010:
Today, we honor the memory of our former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, a leader of integrity, humility, and vision. His commitment to Nigeria’s unity, electoral reform, and peace in the Niger Delta remains an enduring legacy. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and his values continue to inspire ethical governance. #YarAdua15
If I would have the chance to sit with Atiku, I would tell him it's time to yield the ground for a younger person; don't run in 2027, play a fatherly role. - Hakeem Baba Ahmed.
JUST IN:
PDP National Working Committee has peacefully and gracefully submitted to the National Secretaryship of Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu.
To the glory of God and progress of our great party.
The genesis of the Problem of PDP started from the Selection of the 2023 VP candidate. Those who convinced Atiku Abubakar to pick Okowa over Wike, did so out of the personal interest and vendetta against Wike. This decision is the mother of all the failure and crisis in the Party
Before defecting to the APC, I discussed the proposed coalition with Atiku Abubakar, but from our communication, Atiku is also on his way out of the PDP - Ifeanyi Okowa, former Delta State governor @IAOkowa

Misleading Us with Zoning Arrangements in PDP and APC
Both the PDP and the APC have historically operated a zoning arrangement for the presidency between the North and the South. However, while these two parties are separate entities with distinct constitutions and internal dynamics, some political actors—especially within the PDP—have attempted to twist these arrangements to serve personal narratives under the guise of fairness.
Let’s be clear: H.E. President Goodluck Jonathan, a Southerner, was the last president from the PDP, while H.E. President Muhammadu Buhari, a Northerner, was the last president from the APC. Based on this understanding, and in the spirit of balance, the PDP's next candidate should logically come from the North, while the APC’s should emerge from the South.
Unfortunately, those who use zoning as a political tool fail to acknowledge the deeper injustice in its application. They conveniently ignore the fact that within the North and South divide, certain sub-regions have been consistently marginalized. For instance, by the end of this current administration, the South West would have held the presidency for a total of 12 years, while the South South has had only 6 years. Meanwhile, the South East—an integral part of Southern Nigeria—has never produced a president.
On the other hand, the entire Northern region has held the presidency for only 11 years in this Fourth Republic—clearly debunking the notion that the North has dominated power in this democratic era. These facts expose the imbalance and selective interpretation of zoning that some continue to push.
This clearly demonstrates that the zoning arrangement, as it currently exists, is not only flawed but fundamentally unfair. If we are truly committed to equity and national unity, then competence—not geography—must become our guiding principle.
Let’s also be honest: insisting that the South must "complete two terms" despite an underwhelming first term—and doing so at the expense of zones like the North East and South East, which have never produced a president—is both unjust and unpatriotic.
To those manipulating zoning narratives out of fear of H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON, I say this: stop deceiving Nigerians. We are more enlightened today. The future of Nigeria must rest on capacity, character, and competence—not sectional sentiments.
If we must speak of fairness, then fairness demands that the North East and South East—both historically excluded—be given the opportunity to lead. In that spirit, an Atiku-Obi ticket represents not only a symbol of national balance but also a union of experience, integrity, and capacity to move Nigeria forward.

Dear @atiku, at this juncture, you need to decide if you want to go ahead with this fight or sit back and rebuild the PDP. You can’t do both.
The choice is yours.
Delta in the bag, almost all opposition members are coming, including a former vice presidential candidate in the 2023 election.
Coalition of confusing confusion; Una never see anything yet. A former presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election is warming up as well.
There are only two political parties in Nigeria; APC and others.
