Director of Marketing and Communications at NESCol. Sports Editor-at-Large with Arena Sport (open to submissions) and occasional author. All views are my own.
This tends to be a work zone, but a brief veer into personal territory. Delighted to be pulling my author’s cap back on, teaming up with @ArenaSportBooks and my dad to chart his life in football. Book No.19 for me – this time it’s personal! https://t.co/HZfHZX5J7R
New creative, new campaign, new homepage, new prospectus = a busy week! Brilliant work by Team NESCol since the autumn to get to this point, from research and concepts through to launch and roll-out. Really looking forward to seeing this campaign develop.

This was a lovely event to be part of – a big thanks to everyone who came along on the night. Really enjoyed being part of the #BookWeekScotland programme created by the brilliant @GlasgowLib team, who put in so much work behind the scenes to pull everything together.
Brilliant fun to be part of #WriteFest22 today – a huge thanks to the organising team at @onceuponashire for the invite and for putting together a great programme, not to mention to the pupils who made the day! Next stop Glasgow for more #BookWeekScotland events.
Really looking forward to teaming up with my dad at Ibrox Library on 17 November as part of Book Week Scotland, looking back on The Road to Barcelona and his life in football. Tickets are free and available to book now: https://t.co/kPT2I3L0oI
A real privilege to be involved in the NESCol graduations at the Music Hall this week - a brilliant team effort to plan, prepare and deliver two fantastic days. A huge thank you to everyone who played a part and congratulations to our amazing graduates! #NESColGrads
An incredible team effort by so many colleagues across the college, on the day and behind the scenes – a brilliant occasion, looking forward to doing it all over again for the four ceremonies in Aberdeen next week!
We enjoyed a fantastic celebration as our graduation season opened with a wonderful ceremony in Fraserburgh. We’ll be sharing pictures, stories and the full list of graduates throughout the week ahead. A huge thanks to all who attended and made it such a special day! #NEScolGrads
A brilliant way to cap the 50th anniversary year and shine a light on so many different pieces of the story. A time to reflect for my dad and all who were part of that squad - the film has captured all of those emotions beautifully.
When a project is close to the heart it's so difficult to judge - but the incredible reaction to the release of Rangers72 on @primevideosport this weekend has shown the wonderful job the Barca Bears and @thecitytalking have done. Very proud to have contributed.

In Barcelona, in 1972 – they lived the dream. Another favourite pic, mum and dad bringing the cup home with John Greig and his wife. Very proud to have a slice of Rangers history in the family and brilliant fun working together on The Road to Barcelona: https://t.co/HZfHZX5J7R
50 years ago 11 friends ran out at the Nou Camp aiming to make history. They did it! My dad (in the middle of this pic) was the quiet boy from Aberdeen who found his voice in a Rangers team full of big characters and helped bring the European Cup Winners’ Cup to Ibrox #BarcaBears
This one, from the semi-final against Bayern Munich is right up there. A legend – and Franz Beckenbauer! Captaining the team in the second leg at Ibrox was “just another game” he always tells us, but deep down it meant the world to him.
It never feels real until you see it on the shelf – and there it is, in good company too. He lined up with the likes of Willie Johnston and George Best in the good old days – didn’t think he’d be featuring alongside Ronaldo 50 years on: https://t.co/HZfHZX5J7R
24 May 1972. The biggest night in the history of Rangers, in which Dave Smith was the unsung hero of the match. The Road to Barcelona is Dave's memoir of his time at Rangers and his involvement in this historic game, published for the 50th anniversary.

Launch week! As far as timing goes, it couldn’t have been better – a huge night of European football on Thursday and lots of parallels between the run in 72 and what's unfolding 50 years on. Great fun to work with my dad on this one: https://t.co/HZfHZX5J7R
Brilliant to see this story brought to life by the @thecitytalking team, they've really done the '72 squad proud with what they've created. The reaction last night to the first screening said it all.
Great to start to share Rangers72 with the world, starting at Everyman Cinema, Glasgow, last night 🎥
Early access to the film here 👉 https://t.co/EJd0kyZGMk
Digital release will be announced in the coming weeks 👍
