Yes, I - along with a majority of my colleagues - got laid off today. Not really sure what to say 🤷🏻♀️ Other than I am open for work? And I’m proud of the work we’ve all done, and we’ll surely do more of in the future.
I also got to work with one of the best news teams in the biz: our fearless leader @anisaarsenault, the badass editor @daphnekylee, the one-woman social powerhouse @elieraine, and the intrepid reporters Claire^2 @clairebugos and @ClaireWolters.
I worked with thoughtful, smart writers who answered the confusing & hard questions we were asking ourselves every day: What is safe? When will we be safe? Will we ever get vaccines? (Remember those days!) This was my editing playlist at the time:
.@DazonDiallo: "If you believe that equal protection matters in this country, then you will believe that abortion must remain legal and safe for all people who need it."
“For right now, it’s about women’s bodies and bodies that have uteruses. Who’s next?"
