@ErikBootsma@Boenau Proper street and x-walk lighting (see image below), widening sidewalls to add bike lanes on the sidewalk and off the street. That way barriers could be added without taking away space from travel lanes. Adding 4-way pedestrian cycle to intersections with high.....
I'm considering a lawsuit against @PortlandGov and @PBOTinfo for repairs to my tires. I'm at the tire shop 3 or 4 tires a month getting plugs in my tires because putting in medians and curbs for unused bike lanes is more important than cleaning the streets.
@PBOTinfo@fox12oregon@PDXFire Oh great, now PBOT is going to put speed humps and other traffic calming techniques on UP rail lines. Maybe medians will help?
So it's @PBOTinfo and @PortlandPolice going to start enforcing parking downtown? If not, I'd be more than happy to do their job. NW Davis St between 6th and Broadway always has homeless people parking their impeding turning buses.
@DetlingFOX13@fox13seattle It absolutely was avoidable. It looks like 45 people weren't diving for the conditions, which isn't surprising. Washington drivers (especially Seattle and Tacoma area) are terrible drivers. I guarantee most were on their phones too.
@pdxpragmatist @CommMapps All you have to do is use corner lots to bypass red lights. I do it all the time and at high speeds. When someone bitches I tell them to thank @CommMapps. Like 122nd and Powell, just use the shell station if you're going east. If you're going west, use the plasma donation lot.
@CommMapps You don't care about traffic safety. You only care about bending to special interests, thinking it will get you votes. You're using the life and safety of Portland residents a a political tool.
@CommMapps So your ordinance is another "I hate cars" policy that ignores a major contributor to traffic fatalities......pedestrians? I gave you a Traffic Safety campaign that would have reduced Traffic fatalities exponentially by now, but you chose to ignore me.
@amanda443789@PDXFire In short, it's a rest for Firefighters that were fighting the fire. During this rest, they're given water and healthy snacks while they have their vital signs (BP, pulse, etc) taken until it returns to normal levels.
3/3 These stations that are breaking the law need to be held accountable for their blatant disregard for the law. Maybe true Oregonians need to start enforcing the laws that the city and state refuse to enforce.
1/3 I'm guessing that neither the Oregon Fire Marshal @OSFM nor the state informed gas stations of the law regarding self-service. I'm running into many in PDX who don't have the required attendants. @KATUNews@KOINNews@KGWNews@fox12oregon
2/3 I just went to the Chevron on 148th and Stark and the lone employee told me that they don't have attendants for their pumps. Same as the Shell on 122nd and Burnside. The Shell on 122nd and Division will ignore you until you pump your own or leave.
You know what would be cool? If @PortofSeattle Police would monitor the bus loading area too. You guys put all of your staff on the north side of the terminal, but nobody to keep the bus loading clear.
