Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of legendary photojournalist Raghu Rai.

From the Bangladesh War to the Bhopal gas tragedy, his lens didn’t just document history, it felt it. He captured people, pain, and the pulse of a changing world with rare sensitivity.

Had a brief but memorable time with him in Kathmandu in 2013, serving on a jury under his leadership. What stood out was not just his sharp photographic eye, but also his humility and incredible energy!

SSE

Some years ago, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello was a lifeline that the universe threw to me. I swam with frantic intention towards it, but the waves were kind and carried me the rest of the way.
Simply being a part of the team that created SSE was enough for me. For a year and a half, it was the thing that gave me purpose and I felt such gratitude to work with awe inspiring artists. Working with @hemanthrao11 , @rakshitshetty ,@Chaithra_Achar_ , @AdvaithaAmbara , Charan, Ullas and every single person who was a drop in that ocean gave me more joy than I have words to describe.
And then the films came out. And they resonated with so many of you. So many of you felt so deeply for Manu and Priya and Surabhi and all the lives crafted by Hemanth M Rao and team. To this day, 2 years later, so many of you spend your time making edits or sending heartfelt DMs or singing covers of our songs or drawing sketches. This work, that I had the privilege of being a part of, took root in so many of you. This is the magic of art, of feeling. Thank you for opening your hearts to the emotions of SSE.
Thank you all for the depth of your love for our films, our characters and our work.
Thank you for giving this girl a chance to start building a corner for herself in this world of film 🙏🏻 every day I am so moved that your encouragement helps me do the work I love.
