The Tucson Peace Center promotes the causes of peace, social justice, labor equity & a sustainable environment by supporting non-profit organizations in Tucson.
Outside Delaney Hall Detention Center, protesters gathered in solidarity with immigrants inside who are on hunger strike, risking their health to demand dignity, freedom, and an end to their detention.
Instead of pouring billions into detention centers, deportations, and raids, we should be investing in the things that actually make communities stronger: housing, healthcare, schools, legal services, and good jobs.
Abolish ICE. Fund communities. Free them all.
On May 4th, 1970, the Ohio National Guard shot and killed four students for protesting against the US war on Vietnam.
This is the pamphlet circulated to promote the protest:
Organizers in Memphis are continuing to fight Elon Musk's massive AI data centers in the city that rely on methane turbines that spew pollution into the community.
"We are unfortunately a cautionary tale about what will and possibly can happen if you don't have the right rules and guardrails in place," says @keshaunpearson from @MemphisCAP_org.
At a congressional hearing praising sanctions as tools of U.S. power, we showed up with a different truth: sanctions kill. They deprive families of medicine, food, and basic necessities from Cuba to Iran and beyond.
No policy built on collective punishment makes us safer. The American people do not want “security" built on the suffering of children around the world.
They’re saying we can’t afford childcare, Medicaid, or Medicare…but we’ve got billions for wars nobody asked for. 🤔
That’s not a budget problem. That’s a priority problem.

Union baristas are calling on Starbucks customers to #DeleteTheApp to show Starbucks that you stand with baristas, not billion-dollar companies ❌📱
When you delete the Starbucks mobile app off your phones, it sends a direct message: there is no business as usual while baristas are fighting for a fair union contract and end to union busting. Delete the app, then add your name at the link below! @SBWorkersUnited

In the past 12 months, Cuba has tripled its solar-generated electricity production.
At the start of 2025 it was 5.8% - now it's 20%.
This is a historic renewable energy transition by the most blockaded country in history.

The U S government has no moral or legal right, or any justification, to preemptively attack another nation. The people demand that the government adhere to international law, including the Kellogg-Briand Pact, Nuremberg Charter and United Nations Charter, which prohibit any and all preemptive wars or first strikes with any and all weaponry.
The Green Party of the United States has signed on to the United National AntiWar Coalition call to action statement and encourages all state parties and locals to sign-on and take action. #NoWarOnIran

We’re outside of the White House in protest of the US-Israeli strikes on Iran, which have killed over 200 people already. Most of them were schoolchildren.
We must stop the destructive madness of the U.S. empire.
Peace with Iran now.
Enough is enough. No more wars wasting our tax dollars while healthcare costs soar. No more creating conflicts while we can’t afford groceries. We, the people, demand peace, justice and security.
URGENT: The U.S. is moving toward a potential war with Iran, with aircraft carriers, warships, and hundreds of fighter jets already positioned as officials warn strikes could come soon a catastrophic conflict that would put millions of lives at risk, endanger tens of thousands of U.S. troops in the region, and repeat the deadly mistakes of Iraq. Regardless of how you feel about Iran’s government, another war in the Middle East would be devastating and avoidable; Congress must act now by supporting the bipartisan War Powers Resolution H.Con.Res. 38, introduced by Reps. Ro Khanna and Tom Massie, to stop unauthorized military action and push for real diplomacy before it’s too late.
This month and always, we celebrate Black history, Black stories, and the creativity, power, and leadership of Black women at the heart of our movements.
America’s unions gathered across the country this past week to mourn the senseless killing of our @AFGEnational union brother Alex Pretti.
His loss is devastating and maddening. We call on ICE to leave our communities and workplaces before anyone else is hurt or killed.
Acknowledged as the greatest Black labor leader in American history, A. Philip Randolph founded the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and was a pioneer in advancing racial equality within the labor movement. #BlackHistoryMonth
Journalism must be protected.
All workers, including journalists like Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, should be able to do their jobs without fear of arrest or intimidation.
The Constitution protects free press, free speech, and the right to protest.
When reporters are targeted for doing their work, it sends a chilling message to anyone who dares to tell the truth.
