Cambridge asst professor Farah Ahmed wrote that Muslims should study computers to produce "weaponry for jihad." Here are scans of the Hizb ut Tahrir pamphlet chapter (co-written with Nazreen Nawaz) in which she said this. The jihad quote is on page 10.

[The Spectator @spectator]

Cambridge University's education faculty – former home of Jason Arday – has appointed as assistant research professor who wrote that Muslims should study engineering and computers 'to produce advanced weaponry for Jihad in order that the deen [Islam] may dominate over all other deens.'.

Two weeks ago we covered one chapter Ahmed wrote in a Hizb pamphlet – published in 2002, and republished in 2017 (Ahmed was not involved in the republication) – where she attacked ‘western education’ as a ‘threat’ to Muslims, condemned democracy and integration, and criticised British schools for teaching pupils that child marriage is wrong.

However, the same pamphlet includes a second, even more radical chapter, co-written by Ahmed and another senior Hizb activist, Nazreen Nawaz, head of its women’s section.

This describes Hizb’s plan to create a fully Islamic education system as part of the Islamic dictatorship, the Khilafah, which is its core goal. As the chapter puts it: ‘nothing will be contained within the curriculum that contradicts with Islam, such as the teaching of the ideas of freedom, nationalism, democracy or evolution in a positive light’.

‘Nor can there be any schools established on any other religion, sect or race… Even the non-Muslims need to be educated under the educational curriculum of Islam… by pushing them to think about the correct belief in life.’

Our Mayor of Tower Hamlets. Before @AndyBurnham hands key planning powers to mayors he might stop and think about rules that apply to who can and cannot be a mayor. If we are giving huge powers to a single person that person must be above suspicion.

To all of my friends who are worried about Michelle from Wakefield, who posted that she was raped in Pinderfield Hospital, was then arrested by the police and is no longer allowed to post on X.
You need to understand that this appears to be NHS policy.

If they came back in five rather than six years, Harry and Meghan would be liable for British Capital Gains tax on overseas income.

Coming back after six years gives them an exemption.

@hellomag Come on @hellomag - the lady you refer to became the Duchess of Cambridge on 29 April 2011 and the Princess of Wales on 9 September 2022. One day she will become Queen Consort to William, will you still call her Kate Middleton? Where is the respect or doesn't it count any more.
