Qué ironía, ¿no?
🇮🇱🇺🇳 Israel toma nota.
“We define the One China policy. We define it. Not them.”
Philippine Defense Sec. Teodoro Jr. hit back at China’s warning over Taiwan’s plan for a representative office in Cebu
This is how you push back against Chinese bullying.
CHINA CAN REPEAT THE LIE. IT STILL WON’T MAKE IT TRUE.
China calls Philippine transparency a “provocation” while ignoring the reason the world is watching: its own actions in the West Philippine Sea.
When the facts are exposed, Beijing attacks the messenger.
When its actions are documented, it changes the narrative.
When confronted with reality, it calls accountability a “stunt.”
That isn’t strength. That is a desperate attempt to control the story.
The Philippines does not need to invent an aggressor. China’s own actions speak loudly enough.
Truth does not need propaganda to survive. Lies do.

Teodoro wasn't done. In a follow-up interview, he explained exactly why China keeps getting away with it.
Speaking after the Seoul incident, Teodoro posed a direct contrast. Try causing a disturbance at China's own Boao Forum, he said, and you end up in a forced-labor camp. The same country then acts with complete impunity on the world stage. The reason, he argued, is simple: the international community has spent decades indulging and appeasing that behavior, and China learned the lesson well.
His conclusion wasn't a diplomatic call for dialogue. It was a warning that like-minded countries must now respond firmly, and force China to confront reality.
The Philippines is already doing it on the front line. The question is who stands with them.
China is an authoritarian, expansionist and morally corrupt state.
For far too long, the world has tolerated and at times even indulged its coercion and bullying.
It is time to stop enabling this behaviour and push back against it.
