Another lengthy review of #じしょあく Ep. 10! I’d be very grateful to anyone who takes the time to read through it. 🫡🥹

Once again, this episode reminded me just how fortunate it was that the reincarnated Bertia found her way into this world and changed the future alongside Cecil. Looking at the original routes of each capture target, it’s hard not to feel saddened by how tragic their futures were meant to be. No matter who the heroine chose, only she and her chosen partner would find happiness, while everyone else was left with lingering regrets and unfulfilled lives.

What makes it even more heartbreaking is Cecil’s fate. Despite being the prince and the supposed main character of the game, he never truly gets the happiness he desires. Even in the Prince Cecil and heroine route, as Ep. 9 showed, he never naturally discovers the warmth he longed for. He never meets someone capable of bringing out his genuine emotions or becoming truly irreplaceable to him. The heroine remains little more than a source of amusement, leaving him as emotionally hollow as ever.

But Tia changed everything. Through her well-meaning cupid mission, every capture target was able to find someone who truly loved them, avoiding a future where only one person could be happy while everyone else was left behind. She saved each of them from their predetermined tragedies.

I especially love how, after learning the truth, Cecil finally understood that every action Tia took was motivated by genuine care. Even when she tried to push him toward the heroine, it was never because she didn’t value him; it was because she sincerely wanted him to achieve the happiness she believed he was destined for. Realizing that only made him treasure her even more.

And in the end, it was Tia who became the person he had been searching for all along, the one who brought warmth into his life, drew out emotions he never knew how to express, gave meaning to what had once been an indifferent, empty existence for him. Because of her, he now wants to become a better crown prince and future king, not out of duty, but because he wants to build a future where they can be happy together.

It’s honestly amazing to see how far he’s come. The prince who once struggled to understand his own emotions now loves with his entire heart. The way he adores her, cherishes her, and becomes so openly possessive and affectionate around her is proof of just how profoundly she changed his life.

Tia truly is a heaven-sent maiden of destiny. She didn’t just save the capture targets or rather, Cecil’s brother and future close aides from their tragic routes; she saved Cecil as well. And in doing so, she found her own happy ending alongside the person who loves her more than anything! 😭❤️‍🩹
