“ENHYPEN’s Sunoo Receives Minister of Foreign Affairs Award at the Korea Social Contribution Awards, Spotlighting His Good Deeds”

ENHYPEN member Sunoo has received the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award at the 2025 Korea Social Contribution Awards.

Sunoo attended the 2025 Korea Social Contribution Awards, held on December 23 at the Korea Press Center, where he was honored with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award. He was recognized for consistently spreading positive influence through donations, acts of kindness, and volunteer work, as well as for leading a culture of giving within his fandom and helping expand the value of sharing.

The Korea Social Contribution Awards aim to discover, honor, and promote individuals who have contributed to society across various fields, with the goal of building a healthier and happier society. The awards ceremony is supported by 10 government ministries and public institutions, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

At the ceremony, Sunoo shared,

“There are so many people who are more deserving than I am, so it feels a bit embarrassing to receive such a big award. I started donating simply because I wanted to help others, but now I also feel a sense of responsibility to become someone who can have an even more positive impact on society. I will continue to hold onto this mindset and keep sharing warmth consistently.”

Sunoo donated to Samsung Seoul Hospital twice—once in December last year and again recently. The donations were used to support patient treatment costs, the Patient Happiness Fund, and psychological and emotional support programs for pediatric and adolescent patients. In addition, this past March, he also extended help without hesitation to support recovery efforts and displaced residents affected by large-scale wildfires.

Notably, Sunoo’s acts of kindness inspired the spread of the so-called “ENHYPEN Sunoo Challenge” across social media platforms. Moved by his actions, ENGENEs (the group’s fandom) voluntarily began making donations and sharing proof online, creating a positive cycle of giving.
