Commissioned to design the planet Giedi Prime and the Harkonnen world, Giger infused his signature biomechanical style into spacecraft, architecture, and creatures. ⚙️
The twisted, surreal forms embodied the dark, oppressive spirit of House Harkonnen — long before Alien made him a household name. Though the film was never made, Giger’s work on Dune shaped the future of sci-fi aesthetics forever. 📖👁️

Decades later, Ridley Scott revisited some of Giger’s unused Dune concepts while developing Prometheus (2012), bringing the eerie fusion of flesh and machine back to the big screen — proving that visionary art never truly dies. 🚀🖤
