I was there when protesters were pepper sprayed at Central Station on Saturday night. I want to clarify what happened as details have been misrepresented.
The first and most important being the NSW Police’s assertion that the use of pepper spray was “appropriate”.
It was not.
Wow! The revised proposal for the expansion of Dendrobium Mine is just about to go on exhibition. If you don’t know much about this one, we’ll fill you in with a short thread 1/9
After today, you will not be permitted to protest in NSW unless you are protesting in a state-sanctioned place, on a state-sanctioned topic, and you have the prior permission of the state. This is a terrible day for democracy. #nswpol

From @adamlmorton who has been in the budget lock-up all day. Budget papers show Morrison government plans to cut #climate spending if it wins election https://t.co/nhRlwpdp53
How appalling that protecting Australian children from climate change harm is not considered to be part of the role of the Environment Minister. Sussan Ley appealed the original court decision that there was a duty of care. Sad day for young people. #auspol#climateactnow
An excellent thread from Nyadol (who is so often excellent).
We hear the words “intersection feminism” all the time, and that doesn’t make us any better at actually grappling with its complication
Thread:
In Australia women's movement, where should women, who are not white, stand?
I am genuinely struggling. My understanding, is that women want power (to be heard and to influence the society we live in).
How will they use power, is equally important.
A really important piece on First Nations communities in Australia and renewable development by @peacock_bella and why it’s vital not to repeat the mistakes of the fossil fuel industry. https://t.co/pKYItVNqaY

This is an incredibly momentous event in the history of climate in Australia. Wow. Wow.
👏🏻 @brynnobrien and @AustCCR team on their @AGLAustralia resolution.
You put a dent in the future timeline of the world today.
