this entire marketing angle for men's hockey has been a complete disaster. making players more uncomfortable (as is literally noted in the interview) while also stereotyping women in a way that has only made us more uncomfortable in the space too. who the hell wins from this
what kills me is that for decades (mostly male) hockey fans have verbally assaulted players, chased them out of town, doxxed them, jumped into penalty boxes to punch them, rioted in the streets bc their team lost, but it's always the (mostly female) fans under evaluation 👍🏻
