@thereidout Just saw PBS coverage on “Medgar and Myrlie” and looking forward to getting my copy! Met her in Claremont, Ca. in 1964 and was starstruck! Found out years later that Medgar and my commanding officer from Vietnam are both buried in Arlington.

@starsandstripes Saw her and heard her speak in Salt Lake in May of 2019. One of the guys at my table was a soldier who took part in her rescue and she came over to greet him. I’m still in awe of this lady!!

A bill, HR-3558, was sponsored by NC Congresswoman Alma Adams in the 117th Congress, but unfortunately it died in committee. A reintroduction of the bill is forthcoming.
