Thanks to all the MPs, Senators, and staffers who joined us in celebrating Canadian isotope innovation, and to our generous sponsors.
🧬 Canada is a world leader in medical isotopes, and they are making a real difference in the fight against cancer.
Medical isotopes are used to diagnose and treat cancer, helping doctors detect disease and deliver targeted treatments.
On World Cancer Research Day, I attended a reception for Canadians against Cancer.
Canada has invested up to $35 million in the Canadian Medical Isotope Ecosystem to support the development and production of medical isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals here at home
It was great to meet Doug Gilmour and the @PearsonCentre and many others together around an issue that touches so many of us. 🇨🇦
Today, on #WorldCancerResearchDay, we reflect on Canada’s progress in cancer research and what we can continue to achieve together. This past week, we brought that spirit of collaboration to Ottawa, co-hosting an advocacy event with the CNIC and the Honourable Karina Gould.

What an incredible evening we had on June 1st at our Annual Pearson Laureate Dinner. This year, we celebrated the remarkable
@JeanAugustine07 , the first ever Black woman elected to Canada’s Parliament.
Special thank you to our team and all our sponsors!
Being back in the Chamber yesterday brought back a flood of memories from 1993 and beyond.
When I first stepped into the House, it was about creating space where there was none. Seeing that space occupied today with such vibrant, diverse leadership and seeing the continued dedication to building a more inclusive Canada fills my heart with immense hope.
Thank you to the Speaker, my dear friends who joined me, and to all the Members of Parliament for such a warm reception. My sincere thanks to @GregFergus for the @PearsonCentre Laureate Award tribute and for highlighting our shared history.
To the next generation of changemakers: the floor is yours. Keep building.
