Some years back, a customer in Boulder(strictest health codes in CO) asked me to resell her foodtruck, I listed it on our website.

A very nice gentleman from LA called me, he had been divorced and lost his restaurant and house, but was starting to turn his life around, he wanted a Foodtruck. This one was perfect for him, very low miles, built very well and priced attractively.

I made drawings for the truck, serviced it, did some modifications per the CA health code, collected payment and shipped it to him.

LA county requires a plan review for which they collect $500 or so, he then submitted the drawings. They immediately rejected it saying the drawing is 'not up to the standard'. I remade the drawings this time over 10 pages with extensive number of views, descriptive bill of materials, gas, plumbing, electrical schematics etc and submitted again.

Immediate rejection, it is still 'not up to standard'. I'm obviously very concerned at this point and hired a person I found online who does drawings in LA, paid him and got a fresh set of drawings made(based on mine). I used SolidWorks to make mine this guy used AutoCAD, but whatever floats their boat right?

They reject again and are really mean to this poor man and his girlfriend. This truck has a very nice three compartment sink but apparently only ones made by this one company is approved for use and so and so on. The department of housing needs to give their certificate as well for some reason.

At this point I'm fairly certain they aren't going to approve it so getting ready to have it shipped back so I can resell locally in CO. He's like I'm just going to start selling out of the truck, approvals be damned, I need to make money.

The truck gets stolen from his house next week.

I no longer sell anything to Los Angeles county.

@myles_premium_ A basic Brita filter will clean any of these liquids up and give you something somewhat clear. If it’s big enough to tint water it won’t pass through a basic carbon filter. You people are all idiots.
