Incredibly proud of our team and so lovely to see former @HNSFishguard FLL pupils representing their secondary school @YsgolBroGwaun . A great competition which we now look forward to every year! @FLLUK @IETeducation @SeeScience
Llongyfarchiadau to our amazing team who won the trophy for most points in the robot game at primary level! Amazing coding and fantastic teamwork! We are so proud! @FLLUK @IETeducation
Lots of proud teacher moments today. I love seeing teams competing against each other yet being so supportive of one another! A truly amazing event which offers so many learning opportunities. I couldn't recommend @FLLUK more to other teachers! @IETeducation
We had a great day today showcasing our robot design, coding and core values and presenting our innovations to complete our class #masterpiece season of @FLLUK @IETeducation. On to the regionals next!
Our 4th year taking part in the @FLLUK Challenge as a class. Pupils past and present are incredibly fortunate to have had these opportunities thanks to @IETeducation and I'm delighted to hear that we'll be competing against some of our past pupils in the regional comp this year!
A perfect example of how questioning can extend a simple task. When they were familiar with the process we made circuses with 10 acts. Some pupils were able to suggest how many acts we would need in our circus to avoid simplifying- demonstrating their knowledge of prime numbers.
We practiced simplifying fractions in our topic work today. Our whole circus could hold 12 acts. We randomly chose 12 acts to fill the circus then wrote down how many of each act we had as a fraction, simplifying as necessary. #mathsandnumeracy#fractions
We are using the grid method to scale up a section of an image . We measured, found halves and quarters of decimals and drew accurately using a ruler to create our grids. #mathsandnumeracy#expressivearts
The future of STEM in @HNSFishguard is looking great! The whole of @Dosbarth3 worked so hard on their @FLLUK#Explore projects and the team who entered the Remote Festival received the Core Values award just like their counterparts at #challenge levelin @DosbarthPump! #balch
@RetirementTales Totally agree! I went to school already able to read fluently at 5. My mother was told I had learned to read "the wrong way". There is no right or wrong way to learn anything, just what works for that individual, and for most, this includes using a range of strategies.
@dosbarth4 yn mwynhau gweithio gyda’r @WelshWhisperer i gyfansoddi cân fore yma. Class 4 enjoyed working with the Welsh Whisperer this morning to compose part of a song that we will be performing with him this evening at @TheatrGwaun#SiarterIaithYES
What a great day celebrating the amazing work going on in Welsh schools to raise awareness of climate change and take steps together to change our world for the better #eco#Sustainability#climatechallengecymru
Thank you to the residents of St Teresa’s Rest Home and especially Eirian for making our visit to the home so enjoyable and fun! We loved talking to the residents and playing games. We can’t wait for our next visit #hwylaspri#communitylinks
Colleagues in Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot. Don't miss out on this science grant opportunity! #STEM#schoolgrants#sciencegrants https://t.co/iatFQEqGbB
I love our Welsh Curriculum - I'm able to plan and create resources based on historical events within 5 miles of where I teach, mentioning streets where our pupils live and using sources written by their family members. #authentic#humanities#lastinvasion@WelshGovernment
Pupils from @DosbarthPump have carried out research into seagrass and its importance to our environment. Check out the great game, presentation and video on the website they created to explain how we can help! #ClimateChallengeCymru@Eluned_Morgan https://t.co/QyQHiparxa
