@HenryPryor@KirstieMAllsopp I absolutely agree! We moved as fast as possible - our survey was done within three weeks of the memorandum of sale. Another three weeks later the seller pulled out and increased the price by £55K over our offer, which was already £20K above listed price 🤷🏻♀️
@HenryPryor@KirstieMAllsopp Thank you so much - next time we’ll definitely be protected. It’s a shame people can’t be trusted to act with integrity but, with the market as it is, it’s all about the money.
@HenryPryor@KirstieMAllsopp We didn’t know there was such a thing but thank you for the tip - we’ll definitely look at taking that out before we make an offer on another property.
@KirstieMAllsopp@HenryPryor I wish I knew how to get their attention! I’d love to think reform is possible but I fear as long as property keeps getting bought and sold it’ll just get ignored. Maybe we need a national campaign …
@KirstieMAllsopp@HenryPryor Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Our offer was accepted verbally on 10th January and memorandum of sale received next day. They withdrew yesterday 22nd February but not before we had carried out and paid for searches and full structural survey.
@British_Airways We’ve just been advised our flights to Crete from Gatwick next May have been cancelled. We can’t get through on your phone lines and have bookings for hotel and trips - please contact me privately to discuss this so we can review our options.
@GBNEWS@30percentclub Too bad diversity didn’t seem to extend to education in this conversation - perhaps Ann might like to also recognise the vast tranche of workers who have never been to University?
@thismorning Thank you for this topic - having cared for my terminally-ill husband for 7 years I'm now caring for my 89 year old mum who has dementia. Your item was a timely reminder that I need to remember to look after myself.
@kierondonoghue I get a lot of “we’re giving you the opportunity to listen to our music and would like to know what publishing, recording or live opportunities you can give us”. For the first few years I used to reply ...
@HendonLabour Which is why, after 60 years renting one of their homes with virtually no maintenance paid for by them in that time, my 88 year old mother is leaving to live with me.
