I wish I was a better storyteller to make sense of tragedy. I anchor myself to this: love is not just a sentiment, it is the birthplace of change. We are stronger, smarter and more resilient than hate and hopelessness.
Strangely, it's moments like this that I feel most lucky to be queer. I think about our elders. How hopeless they must have felt. How easy it would have been to give up. But they fought for the life I get to live today. What an insult it would be, to them, to succumb to despair
all i can say is live. you have to live. if you’re trans, queer, a woman, bipoc, disabled, an immigrant: you must live. we have to support each other. we have to be visible and loud if and when we can. and above all else we have to live
me at 6:45 pm: eh the results tonight can only stress me out. prob just gonna ignore them entirely :)
me at 9:45 pm: WHERE ARE THE REST OF THE VOTES FROM MECKLENBURG COUNTY NORTH CAROLINA
as an adult, it is IMPERATIVE to make time for arts and crafts!!! and to play!!! in the midst of all the seriousness of grown up life, it's nice to be reminded that you are just a big kid
