For months, Miracle Aboagye and the denial brigade dismissed warnings about COCOBOD as propaganda. Today, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says the next NPP government must solve a cocoa crisis. Ordinary Ghanaians are asking a simple question: if there is a crisis now, who created it? Somewhere between GH¢26.5 billion in commitments, mounting debt, and collapsing cocoa production, denial met the ledger. The ledger refused to cooperate.

BIG PUSH UPDATE

Saboba - Chereponi Road Project Lot 1 and 2 (47KM)

Work on the upgrading of the Saboba to Chereponi road project, under the Big Push Programme, is progressing steadily.

Earlier this week, Hon. Kwame Agbodza inspected the project as part of his tour of the Northern and North East Regions and expressed his satisfaction with the progress of work so far.

The project commenced in February 2026 and is scheduled for completion in February 2028.

Currently, work stands at 12.71% completion for Lot 1 and 12.48% for Lot 2 putting the project slightly ahead of schedule.

Ongoing Activities
To date, the contractor has executed clearing, demolition and scarification, filling of washout sections to make the road safe and motorable for road users.

This initial intervention has improved the riding quality of the stretch and resulted in significant reduction in travel time between Saboba and Chereponi

Currently, the contractor is focused on construction of concrete structures (u-drains, culverts) and earthworks, particularly, filling to widen and raise road to formation.

Social Interventions
To support local communities, the project scope also includes the installation of 1,000-litre capacity mechanized boreholes in the following towns:

Achuma Town
Teikazu Town
Tacheku Town
Kpegu Town
Sanguli Town
Gbangba-Pong Town
Timbu Town
Nabiri Town
Nabruku No. 1
