@theiaincameron @andywightman I have often wondered how many of our elected representatives regularly enjoy outdoor activities/sport. It seems that the huge majority have only one " sport" -politics

[Peter @ped_rab]

@Ianbain152Bain @BritishAlba Maybe not Bravetoaman?

@RugbyInsideLine Entering a popularity contest especially one based on online exposure might carry risks for one of rugby's traditional values namely the team being bigger than any one player.
Important for a game where the artisans could not perform without the hod carriers.

Today, I'm thinking of all those in Israel and Palestine suffering unimaginable pain, trauma and fear.

The horrific attacks on civilians in Israel were deplorable. This cannot justify the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians, who are paying the price for a crime they did not commit.

Half of Gaza’s population are children. Trapped in an open-air prison without food, water, gas or electricity, they are watching their homes turn to rubble with nowhere to go.

We should condemn the use of violence against all civilians, Israeli and Palestinian. And we must renew our calls for an immediate ceasefire to prevent any further loss of life.

In times of war, we need more voices for peace — and the only way to achieve peace is to end the occupation.

@murdo_fraser @RishiSunak @HumzaYousaf Murdo, Maybe wait till the Privileges Committee finalised report is available. Then contrast. Or are you saying that everyone interviewed by the police is guilty?

[Peter @ped_rab]

@murdo_fraser 234 , impressive! Great stuff Murdo, good to see politicians with interests outside politics

[Peter @ped_rab]

@murdo_fraser Aren't the guidelines produced by the Scottish Sentencing Council which is an independent body?

It’s taken me years to get round to capturing this experience in writing. The Mountain Writing Competition run annually by @Mountain_Scot acted as a prompt to make me write it. I’m extremely pleased at the outcome of entering the competition!

[Peter @ped_rab]

@WillieMunro1 @Mountain_Scot Well done Willie, encouragement for more maybe?

[Peter @ped_rab]

@murdo_fraser Murdo, so many of your tweets seem intent on highlighting and exacerbating division. Why is this?

[Peter @ped_rab]

@haughey_clare Education, the economy, the planet, transport, global security etc...
And you focus on one issue and discount a candidate who has acknowledged she will respect democracy even although it goes against her personal beliefs?

[Peter @ped_rab]

@ScotAirAmb Kirkwall?

[Peter @ped_rab]

@nedboulting Isn't the owner of Ineos a very keen cyclist? Nevertheless I suspect it's designed to appeal to those who regard bikes as an obstruction

[Peter @ped_rab]

@rugbyworldcup @Manutuilagi @EnglandRugby Anyone else think that the really outstanding skill on display here was the one handed regather after the ball went loose?

[ALASTAIR CAMPBELL @campbellclaret]

I simply cannot fathom how this is happening and neither the government nor most of the media seems to give a damn. What kind of country have we become?
