@twill_94 Itโs 100% true in the premier league era, arguable about the 70s and earlier but club ownership and player loyalty was a different world back then so you canโt compare the two.
@PolitlcsUK The government yet again proving it doesnโt live in the real world. Even on new developments with at least one space for every home people park on the street. Making it hard to park at home wonโt discourage car ownership.
@LewisDeighton17 This โbut Leeds only got a fineโ story is getting boring. Similar but not the same, Leeds broke no rule and it was mid-season (the best the EFL could do was unsportsmanlike conduct). Southampton broke a specific rule to gain advantage in a playoff semi-final.
@ListerLawrence Labour have never understood economics and have never been a friend to business. Iโm convinced they still think the Bank of England has a magic money tree. A country needs a few of its leaders to have run businesses, pretty sure that very few MPs have the experience for the job.
@AdamAzor@MarkJLittlewood In my view the punishment should be the same for each instance of spying, a 3-0 win given to the spied on team whether itโs mid season, a cup game or a playoff. Sadly for Southampton, in this instance the outcome would be the same, out of the playoffs.
@adamleitchsport As a Leeds fan I can 100% confirm youโre right. Itโs horrible watching your club go through stuff like this, nothing you can do to fix it and you get the stick from other fans (and friends and family), the guilty ultimately walk away and move on, as a fan itโs hurts forever.
@FootyScran What fine would be enough? If they were promoted it needed to be 10s if not 100 mil to have any meaningful impact given the reward for promotion. If they lost the play off that then bankrupts them. Sporting sanction was the only viable outcome.
