@MaralynParker Hey, maybe they should extend the work day for "more planning time", hire more admin to micromanage in the name of support, and require more uncompensated professional development and the teachers will be happier!
@IroghamaTX @TexasTribune I'd be happy with a position in which I was not micromanaged! Look at trends in the growth of administration, coaches, specialists at school districts over the years. #Autonomy
And 3 months after a health scare they fall off the wagon and slide back to crappy eating.
90% of drug addicts relapse after rehab. I bet it's the same for sugar addiction.
Unfortunately, many sick people will not change their eating habits until they reach a point where NOT changing has turned into the worst case scenario.
The suffering of NOT changing now outweighs the struggles of changing.
NEW: The CDC coordinated with social media platforms and Google to censor users who questioned the COVID-19 vaccine, according to internal communications obtained by the Free Beacon.

@roses4jrw@TexasTribune@GregAbbott_TX plenty of teachers accept those low paid jobs. its not the pay. they know the pay in advance of signing contract and sign anyway. What they do not count on is the stress and micromanagement, loss of autonomy, lack of respect. No amount of money makes that worth it.
@SchnauzerRex @TexasTribune@GregAbbott_TX What will be done: Require teachers to attend even more unpaid "trainings and PD om their own time after working 60-70hr work weeks.
Obviously if they are burned out they need to be trained on how to be efficient. π€ͺ
@TexasTribune The dual language trend contributes to the bilingual teacher shortage. How?
only half of a given class are ELLs so districts need twice the # of bilingual teachers to teach the same number of ELLs as a regular bilingual program.
@TheeZacTics @TexasTribune Make two changes:
Make teachers nonexempt employees and pay them for mandatory overtime.
2) Allow teachers to break contract without penalty.
School districts will start figuring it out. Private schools pay much less and yet treat teachers much better.
@drnickgreiner The only thing one can control are ones one's emotions. (I think that was Victor Frankl)
Social media makes money leading people to believe otherwise.
LOL
The fantasy behind the arm chair gardeners sound like the following tweet.
At any rate, we had to replant twice this year due to freezes killing our seedlings. We have no food in a 400 sq ft garden but plenty of deer in the deep freeze.
@andyswarbs @TalbertsirhC@MigraineBook@Cory_S_Miller81@TradePostB@VinnieTortorich "Plants are "just there"
(How to say youve never lived off the land.)
They arent there most months of the year. They srent there during drought, flood, disease.
Whole Foods makes it look so easy.
@nytimes Now do a stort on people who used their "at home" time to lose 100 pounds and went back to the office with their health restored. Everyone was amazed and happy to see them wanted to know how they did it.
