How the main characters in Society of the Snow could end up blending with the environment, an environment devoid of life?
That was one of the goals our cinematographer @pedroluque set up for himself and the look for the movie. The approach was non other than letting the actors to be free around such environment which also liberated the camera allowing it to shoot whatever could happen spontaneously, at any moment. Pedro described it perfectly when he said that “the amalgam between the cinematographic and the documentary is the key to Society of the Snow, a very fine line between realism and the poetry of cinema.”
