Hendrik Verwoerd had a PhD. The man who architectured apartheid, who theorised, legislated and enforced the most brutal dehumanisation of African people in this country’s history was educated. If we extrapolate from Ndlozi and Phakeng rhetoric we should have listened to him. His credentials were valid. His conclusions should have stood. Education in the hands of a fool is a weapon against wisdom. That is precisely why we refuse to let a certificate be the end of the conversation.

I know youth unemployment is dire. Yes it’s a crisis.
But can someone explain to me why ages 15 to 18 are included?
Who would employ anyone of that age? Especially as they would have zero skills and would also be too immature for the world of work.

I don't care whether you support the deportation of illegal immigrants or not, but don't deceive vulnerable South Africans into believing that chasing them away will solve the unemployment crisis, reduce food prices, or fix the country's high crime rate.

The challenges we face are far more complex than that.

SAn news media (particularly broadcasters) need to collectively reflect and take accountability for how your coverage of the xenophobic sentiment/“protest” has contributed to increasing violence instead of providing verified information to the public- which is your responsibility

She has repeatedly used language that dehumanises migrants. Breeding like rats, infested with foreigners (as if they are pests). She's also said we are being wiped out & foreigners are engaged in ethnic cleansing. She must be held accountable!

@ewnreporter Polygraph tests should not be used in the first place. They are notoriously reliable even when done properly and would never stand up in court where at best they are regarded as hearsay evidence
