@STLBluesChirp Think it’s more his presence than his stats. We’re a smaller market team who pride ourselves on an identity that he matches exactly. He’s a great leader and does a lot for the community, and seems to love playing here. His stats are also great for a middle six winger.
This is why Americans don’t care about this fuck ass sport dude. He’s obviously trying to play the ball but because the dude song and danced as if he’d had his leg blown off, it’s reviewed and Balogun is gone for the rest of this game AND the next.
1) It is possible that I don’t know enough and that’s a perfectly reasonable red card in World Cup play.
2) That call is why soccer will never catch all the way on in the US. To have a guy booted AND then miss a game for that is an outrage.
My son asked me “why is he getting kicked out.” And I said “because he stepped on that guy’s foot.” And then I realized how insane that is.
One resulted in no card. The other warranted VAR that led to a red card. The only difference between these two plays is the name on the back of the jersey
Soccer has a fundamental problem if the result of this play:
> Ejects the "offender"
> Makes his team play down a man for the rest of the game
> "Offender" is ineligible for the entire next game
Pathetic and embarrassing on all levels... #USMNT
@TaylorTwellman This game just shows why soccer is the worst sport in the world. FIFA has killed every ounce of American publicity and good will in this game, and it’s why Americans would rather watch football, basketball, hockey, baseball, any other sport, because of calls like that. Shameful.
The #StlBlues did not issue qualifying offers to:
Berggren
Bordeleau
Kessel
They will now be unrestricted free agents.

Okay for every goal that McTavish scores this season is $50 I’m taking out of my grocery/going out/spending money and putting into my monthly student loan payment #BookIt#McLoanPayment
