How come your office never issued statements like this when you were Vice President during a tumultuous period, when people like Captain Smart reportedly spent more time in police cells than in their studios? Why didn’t you speak out when the Fix The Country protesters were arrested and denied bail?

Do you know what this statement suggests? Two things. First, you’re trying to portray yourself as an affable, angelic leader who doesn’t care what people say about you. Second, you’re implying that these actions are only problematic now, even though you saw nothing wrong with similar incidents under the Akufo Addo administration.

In effect, you’re trying to paint President Mahama as someone targeting citizens over free speech while simultaneously suggesting you have no issue with threats against the very office you seek to occupy.

This comes across as self serving and politically convenient. Yikes!
