Standing on a public platform and telling foreign criminals to find creative ways to enter South Africa knowing very well that you are Zimbabwean is very diabolical π€£

Alfred Matsitela - also identified in court and law enforcement records as Malome Alfred Matsetela - operated one of South Africa's most damaging copper theft syndicates through his Germiston-based business, Malvern Scrap Metal. Little is publicly known of his background other than he matriculated and held a diploma in business management.
His highly organised enterprise specifically targeted essential infrastructure owned by Telkom, Eskom, and Transnet across multiple provinces, causing millions of rands in economic damage.
To execute the operations, the syndicate utilised rented vehicles to steal overhead copper cables, operating primarily at night in secluded locations.
Once cut, the copper was transported to Malvern Scrap Metal, where Matsitela paid his primary operatives with cash or company cheques. He then transported the stolen material to larger industrial buyers, notably SA Metals in Bedfordview, where it was sold into the legitimate supply chain.
β¨2012 β 2017: The syndicate operated across a vast geographic footprint - Prince Albert, Kenhardt, Port Nolloth, Brakpan, Bedfordview, Primrose, Williston, Senekal, Ficksburg, Marquard, and Glen. Transnet investigators also linked the syndicate to copper theft in the Free State.
β¨Following extensive investigations into the enterprise, Matsitela and his accomplices were arrested by the Hawks in George.
β¨He received his first known conviction when the Free State High Court in Kroonstad sentenced him to 12 years in prison for copper theft offenses committed between 2014 and 2015.Β
For offenses committed between January 2014 and September 2016 the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein convicted Matsitela of managing the activities of an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering, alongside theft and destroying essential infrastructure. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
β¨April 2023: Matsitela and four accomplices - Amos Ngubeni, Samuel Ngwenya, Linda James Malope, and Wilson Khoza - were sentenced in the George Regional Court for their nationwide copper theft, money laundering, and racketeering operations.
Matsitela received individual sentences totaling 83 years: 17 years for managing a racketeering enterprise, 10 years for participating in it, 46 years across seven counts of theft, and 10 years for money laundering. The court ordered all these counts to run concurrently with the 17-year racketeering term, and further ordered that the sentence run concurrently with his existing 18-year sentence from October 2018.
Julius Malema is a Zimbabwean, pure Zimbabwean. The EFF is a Zimbabwean organisation, formed to defend Zimbabweans, Malawians and Nigerians. We get it now, this is why he even uses Zimbabwean influencers for his political party.
