@choneyisland99 @RevRichardColes I’ve lived in much bigger houses and only paid £100 for gas and electric when I lived in England. It’s an ongoing issue with small island communities. We always pay more for everything. I can’t understand electric costs though as we produce it through wind farms here.

@RevRichardColes Our bungalow is concrete built, our landlord has put in double glazing and fully insulated the loft space. SSE think they are doing my family a favour when we get a text to say when our power will be out and for how long during power cuts, due to my son being disabled.

@RevRichardColes So far I pay just over £300 a month on electricity. I have no gas and have a small 3 bed bungalow. I hate to think what my electric cost will be in the new year. At the moment I only have one heater on in our hall and this heats the whole house.

@Sarah_wales007 @simcar1969 @RevRichardColes I’m with SSE. I live on Orkney and we make more energy up here than we can use, so I’m at a loss at why there is so much fuel poverty here than in many other parts of the UK.
