I opened my son's student portal this morning to check if his last semester result was out. Only to be confronted by a quality of teaching assessment for students to evaluate their lecturers.

This move by Osun State University conforms with global standards in education, and it is highly commendable. This would help the university to improve teaching, make better decisions on employment,
and properly identify areas of needs.

However, policies have to be put in place to protect students from possible lecturers' backlash and to address the challenges of the assessment itself.
