Two giant crybabies who can’t deal with an ounce of foreign relations with any sense of composure. An embarrassment, failure and disgrace to a nation that once stood for freedom.
Zelenskyy: He broke the ceasefire. He killed our people. He did not exchange prisoners. We signed the exchange of prisoners, but he didn't do it. What kind of diplomacy you are speaking about?
Vance: I think it's disrespectful for you to come into the oval office and try to litigate this in front of them American media
Tinker v. Des Moines (1969)
“Neither students nor teachers shed their constructional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate”
NEW: Texas has BANNED students from interacting with public officials.
Civics classes used to involve students picking local issues and advocating for new laws. No longer.
“Students are now banned from advocating for something like a stop sign in front of their school.”
If it seems like the current system is failing us, that's because it is. The US Constitution does not reflect the will of the people and should be drastically changed (not amended) to reflect the will of the people. In the meantime, let's make our voices heard. (5/5)
There is much to say about the horrifying decision to overturn Roe v Wade. Yesterday, the Supreme Court decided that a NY law prohibiting the concealed carry of a firearm outside the home was unconstitutional and took the right to legislate safety away from the states. (1/5)
Putting the right to privacy at risk and especially bodily autonomy leaves a lot to fear. It was Kavanaugh and Gorsuch who said Roe was "decided law" and then lied and voted to overturn it. Conservatives saying that we shouldn't fear other privacy cases is absolutely moot (4/5)
Can’t believe Ted Cruz is telling people to “get a job” like it’s nothing. Blatantly discriminatory and illegal abortion laws, and incompetent government employees. What good comes from Texas?
Kamala Harris and Jill Biden should have had press conferences in mere HOURS after that law was passed speaking on how terrible it is, yet they have not. Congressional Dems have said they’re gonna use it in next election cycle. This is a RIGHT NOW issue, not a next election one.
First thing I think worth mentioning has to be SB8, the abhorrent Texas abortion law. As disgusting and vile as the law is, attention also needs to be focused on the failure of Dems to truly bring this to the forefront and try to either pass legislation or stir protests.
