Pakistan is proud to have led with wisdom, resolve, and a steadfast commitment to peace, and remains deeply appreciative of the leadership of Iran and the United States for stepping back from the brink and choosing dialogue over devastation. I commend the tireless efforts of the leadership in Tehran, Washington, and Islamabad in creating the space for de-escalation and diplomacy to prevail.

This ceasefire offers a critical opening for the region to breathe, recover, and turn away from the shadow of a wider war. May this not remain merely a pause in conflict, but become the beginning of a durable peace, one that unlocks stability, promotes cooperation, and advances shared prosperity for our region and the world.

Diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in near future. To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks. Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open Strait of Hormuz for a corresponding period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture. We also urge all warring parties to observe a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks to allow diplomacy to achieve conclusive termination of war, in the interest of long-term peace and stability in the region.

میں مناظرے اور معائنے کے لئے تیار ہوں، میاں نواز شریف مجھ سے خیرپور گمبٹ میں مناظرہ کرلیں جہاں کا اسپتال پنجاب کے کسی بھی اسپتال سے بہتر ہے اور یہاں علاج بالکل مفت ہے اور میاں صاحب نے تین بار وزیراعظم بننے کے باوجود بھی گمبٹ کا دورہ نہیں کیا یا وہ تھرپارکر آجائیں، وہاں کے انفرااسٹرکچر کا معائنہ بھی ہوجائے گا اور چولستان سے تھر کا موازنہ بھی ہوجائے گا، تھر میں کوئلے کا منصوبہ جس کے آپ اور آپ کے بھائی مخالفت کرتے تھے، کراچی نہیں بلکہ فیصل آباد کو سستی بجلی فراہم کررہا ہے، میاں صاحب کراچی کے این آئی سی وی ڈی کے باہر مباحثہ کرلیں جہاں گزشتہ برس پنجاب کے 84 ہزار سے زائد افراد کا علاج ہوا جو اس بات کا ثبوت ہے کہ پنجاب کے اسپتالوں میں ایسی سہولیات موجود نہیں ہیں۔ راہ فرار اختیار نہ کریں، براہ کرم بتائیں کہ کس شہر میں اور کس تاریخ کو آپ کے بھائی نے مباحثہ کرنا ہے۔

Today’s savage attack by Israeli Occupation Forces on baptist hospital in central #Gaza is an egregious violation of international humanitarian and human rights law, specifically the Geneva Convention. It’s a morally reprehensible crime which violates the principles of humanity and the laws of war by attacking unarmed civilians, sick and wounded including children needing care at a protected medical facility. Warrants not just the condemnation in strongest terms across the board but accountability through international legal mechanisms for these war crimes. UN and it’s member states must act towards immediate cessation of hostilities, operationalization of humanitarian corridor for safe passage of civilians and allowing humanitarian aid.
