We want to build a resilient wellbeing ecosystem for young people in the UAE & we need to hear from you π£ we launched an anonymous, one-of-its-kind, youth-led mental health survey for university students in the π¦πͺ https://t.co/k1MuUty56B. Take our survey & spread the word!
As a young mental health startup in theπ¦πͺ, we are working hard to develop a mental health learning platform for young people. Our mission is to equip youth to take charge of their mental health & feel comfortable supporting their peers π Hearing from you will help us get there!
We hope to hear from uni students not only in various institutions & academic disciplines, but also across the spectrums of age, gender, class, race & ethnicity, religion, ability, & other identities. Ultimately, intersectionality is vital for holistic wellbeing support.
We couldnβt be more excited to launch a one-of-its kind youth-led research study on mental health & wellbeing in the UAE!
If youβre a current UAE-based uni student, go to https://t.co/k1MuUty56B & tell us what mental health means to you, what impacts it, & what needs to change.
We canβt stress enough how important it is that any mental health reform post-pandemic (esp. targeting the youth) comes from young people themselves. Our voices are central to any meaningful and sustainable community-based provisions and policy agendas targeting wellbeing.
Ultimately, a happy & healthy student body is one that simultaneously supports studentsβ physical & mental wellbeing, as well as one that enables students to share their struggles openly without judgment & fosters a sense of belonging within the larger academic community. 8/8
Over the past few weeks weβve been organising a series of Twitter spaces to discuss youth mental health and wellbeing in the UAE. The concluding one held last week discussed mental health support systems with @Ameeralg_ and @AnanMahmoud8.

One way in which studentsβ lived experiences can be channelled into creating healthy & enabling communities is via a strong peer-to-peer support network that complements professional counselling & creates spaces for young people to talk about mental health with each other. 7/8
Starting soon! Join in on a well-needed conversation on how we can intentionally create holistic wellbeing support systems for university students in the UAE.
