The Black Cats stood on the roof of the world. 🇮🇳
An #NSG team led by Maj Akhilesh Bhatt summited Mt Everest (8,848.86 m) on 23 May 2026.
Departing Delhi on 30 April, the team reached Everest Base Camp on 09 May and stood atop the world just fourteen days later — completing the mission from departure to summit in a remarkable twenty days, an unprecedented feat.
Ice. Thin air. Death-zone winds. Every step demanded courage. Every breath tested endurance. But the Black Cats climbed on — with grit, discipline and an unbreakable spirit.
Together, they carried the Tricolour and the pride of NSG to the highest point on Earth.
This historic achievement was made possible through relentless training, meticulous planning and the invaluable support and encouragement extended by the Ministry of Home Affairs throughout the expedition.
From Counter-Terror missions to the Summit of Everest — the Black Cats continue to prove that no challenge is beyond the resolve of India’s elite force.

Respected Mahua Moitra Ji,
Your speech in the Lok Sabha was truly mesmerizing—so powerful that I can hardly recall ever hearing anything like it before. Every word you spoke reflected profound depth, constitutional clarity, fearless conviction, and your exceptional intellect shining with remarkable force. When the voice of truth rises, all other voices naturally fall silent—and your speech stood as a compelling testament to that.
The clarity and resolve with which you raised issues concerning CAPF not only compelled the nation to reflect, but also exposed how arrogance of power often resists listening to what is right.
While the Bill may have been passed on the strength of numbers, every word you spoke has uplifted the morale of every CAPF personnel, strengthening their resolve to continue this fight until justice is achieved. The numbers may have prevailed in the House, but morally, this is your victory.
Today, you have etched a special place in the hearts of the people of India, and most importantly, you have secured a lasting and highest place in the hearts of CAPF personnel and their families.
On behalf of the CAPF family, heartfelt thanks for your courageous, just, and impactful intervention.

Director General & all ranks of NSG extend warm greetings and best wishes to all ranks of Assam Rifles & their families on the occasion of their 191st Raising Day.
We salute their rich legacy, unwavering commitment, and exemplary service to the nation—Sentinels of the Northeast.
